About Us
Derinda was previously living in Impington, near Cambridge, whilst I was at Birchams Farm, next to the Barn.
Derinda and I began chatting on the internet in April 2004, and first met at The Olde Bull Inn at Barton Mills, on 31st May
2004. From there our relationship grew, and in time Derinda moved over to the Farm and sold her house.
On the 7th December 2006 we sold Birchams Farm, and moved into a 36 foot mobile Home, whilst work progressed on converting
the Barn.
In August 2007 we purchased a house in Long Stratton that required total renovation, something that turned into a two year project. We moved into this house for the winter of 2009/10, but have since sold it.
Since then we have tried to concentrate on converting the Barn, and to speed up this process I gave up self-employment totally at the end of June 2012. Having dedicated my time to the Barn, it then proceeded to rain for most of the following four months, whilst we were trying to get the roof on. We managed just two of the six layers that will make up the roof, and for the winter of 2012/13 we are back to tarpaulin covers.
